Somalilandsun- Despite a few anomalies the Somaliland presidential elections held on the 13th November was conducted in a free and transparent manner
This is was informed by the international observer mission to Somaliland presidential elections 2017 during its first post-election press briefing held in Hargeisa.
“On polling Day, observers witnessed opening, voting and closing process in approximately 350 polling stations across Somaliland’s six region and while we are aware of some key concerns these do not seem substantive and systematic enough to have undermined the election itself” state Chief Observer Dr Michael Walls
