MV Albedo crew in captivity

Somalilandsun – From India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Families of crew of Albedo again appeals to Somali Diaspora to help them in saving the life of their loved ones

The unfortunate families of crew of MV Albedo had earlier appealed to our Brothers and Sisters living in Somalia and every other part of this world to assist in releasing our loved ones who have been held captive by some Somali based group of people since 26 November 2010.

The poor families are again appealing on the eve of forthcoming Eid-al-Adha to all the Somali community in the world to help in bringing our people back from captivity in Somalia. Eid al Adha signifies the “festival of sacrifice” with the Commemoration of the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his young and only firstborn son in obedience to a command from God.

The innocent crew and their families have sacrificed their last 1052 days of life in living with uncertainty of meeting with our loved ones again. 5 of the families among us have lost their loved ones during this hard period. The other families are just surviving on the diminishing hope to meet with the remaining 11 innocent lives on one day. We hear to the cries, screaming on phone made by our crew to save them, we feel helpless yet again, we could not sleep during nights, cannot work during day, we have stopped eating normal diet as our kin are not provided with proper food, the distressing calls make us more nervous as we have nothing left to sacrifice now.

We now appeal to the people who are holding our loved ones to please release them on this holy day of Eid al Adha. God “Allah” will hopefully shower his blessings on you in helping the poor and helpless crew and their families. We also pray to Allah to enlighten you to imagine the cries and screams of the family members who are suffering due to being forcefully separated from their loved ones from last 3 years.

We are again here, with our folded hands, begging on our feet to please save the life of the crew of Albedo. The crew and their families ask every one of you, “Did God order you to leave us in this condition? Or are you leaving us here to die.” We hope and pray that the sacrifice made by the crew and families will not get wasted on this holy festival of Eid al Adha.
