Somalilandsun:The president of the republic of Somaliland H.E Musa Bihi Abdi earlier
today met with a Ugandan delegation, which comprised of members of
parliament and top government officials. At meeting the head of state was
flanked by his deputy H.E Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismael (Sayli’i), the
speaker of parliament Hon.Bashe Mohammed Farah and foreign affairs minister
Mr.Sa’ad Ali Shire.
The talks at the presidential palace pertains the development of bilateral
relationship between the two countries.
The minister of foreign affairs who spoke to the press after the meeting
said “As you can see we have visitors from Uganda they consist of MPs and
top government official. Somaliland and Uganda share many traits in common
and the people of Somaliland also reside in that country. The president has
welcomed them wholeheartedly and these will open a new chapter in the
relationship of the two countries. The delegation will be based in Hargeisa
for a few days.”
The minister went on to say that the Ugandan delegations are on a fact
finding mission to assess the general situation of the country.
