Somalilandsun – Citizens of Somaliland intent on travelling to Turkey for Different purposes have been availed new procedures for Visas application.
Accordingly the Turkish Consulate in Hargeisa has shared the new Visa Application procedures with the Somaliland ministry of Foreign affairs-MOFA
In a press statement MOFA revealed that its Turkish Counterpart in Ankara courtesy of Communication submitted by its Somaliland consulate informs that new online Visa Application has been instituted beginning from 5th January 2016 as:
1. Visa applications to Turkey for all purposes can be done online by visiting www.visa.gov.tr while detailed visa information can be accessed at www.evisa.gov.tr/en
2. For Somalilanders After fulfilling pre-set conditions the applicant is the then obliged to visit the Turkish consulate in Hargeisa
3. During the visit to the Consulate an applicant must submit all required documents.
4. An applicant must present Him/herself personally at the consulate, {that is proxy applications shall not be accepted}
5. Visa fees shall be paid immediately application is accepted on rejection the paid charges shall not be refunded.
6. It is a must for all applicants to possess valid travel health insurance whose expiring date is commiserate with the proposed length of stay or transit in Turkey.
7. Any application not initially processes through the online procedure shall not be accepted. Meaning that the first line of application is online and not the consulate
8. To expedite the visa issued by the ministry of foreign affairs in Turkey a prospective visitor must apply for the visa four weeks before intended date of travel.
