TALEH: (Somaliland) Latest information reaching us from our news reporter based in Talleh town confirms that three locals were critically injured after heavily armed tribal militia initiated fighting.

Eye witnesses disclosed to our reporter that the injured were in critical situation and that the fighting was at climax in the morning just before noon.

The witnesses also confirmed that members of the militia are the two clans residing in the town. Elders & clerics from the two communities at loggerheads have been dispatched in the town and its environs to cool tempers and reconcile the warring factions so that normalcy resumes. The communal elders & clerics are also mandated to disarm the militia once they are through with reconciliation to secure the safety of the residents.

It is not the first time for clan war of this nature to erupt here and the ceasefire initiatives mandated to the elders have not yet born any fruits at the time of printing this bulleting but it is unanimously believed that the two protagonist tribes fought because of their patriotic ideology. Though Talleh town is geographically situated within Somaliland, one clan supports Somaliland’s administration while the other leans to the neighboring federal region of Puntland Somalia.
