After prayers, the perplexed worshippers started querying each other on the identity of the person who resembled the head of state but on checking the mosque compound where the large presidential security detail was missing, matters were left at that.

But when the president emerged from the mosque accompanied by minister Hirsi Haji Ali, Police commissioner Gen Fadal and head of presidential security Gen Feisal, the identity was obvious thus a surge by the Gabilians for a presidential handshake.

The president reciprocated the Gabilians salutations by giving a large number of those nearby a presidential handshake to be remembered by many.

The residents of the town thanked the president for the confidence he has shown in then by travelling to the town and worshipping with them without any security.

After the residents informed the president of their fears for the deteriorating situation at the Arabsiyo cemetery where soil erosion is picking on graves thus exposing corpses, the president went for a first hand site.

Following briefing by the Gabile regional governor as per the diminishing area of the Arabsiyo cemetery where thousands are buried and some corpses exposed due to ongoing erosion the president ordered immediate soil erosion control measures to be funded by the central government.
