HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – After an absence of two decades politician Ismail Mahmud Huree Bubaa has finally returned home to roost.
His arrival back to Somaliland from his post Somalia base in Doha the capital of Qatar was witnessed by a large number of Somaliland citizens at the Egal Airport led by officials from the opposition parties of UCID and Wadani.
In a brief speech the politician utilized to thank all those who facilitated his return as well as the reception committee, also revealed who pleased he was to be back home after a lengthily absence.
While informing that he will soon give a full briefing to the media a jubilant Bubaa pledged to work tirelessly for the development of his mother land of Somaliland.
The return of Bubaa from his Mogadishu base where he served various Somalia governments in high ranking ministerial posts was facilitated by the president of Somaliland Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo.
The intervention by president Silanyo came in the form of a pardon for Bubaa’s service to Somalia, a duty viewed by the constitution of Somaliland as a crime necessitating prosecution upon arrest of any citizen engaging in official capacity with the government in Mogadishu.
The return of Bubaa that was preceded by a change of allegiance to the concept of Somaliweine-united Somalia, which is anti-the sovereignty of Somaliland shall most likely herald the same from other landers serving similar interests.
