Somalilandsun- For the first time the Somaliland flag will fly high at the annual Miss Africa Great Britain Pangeant 2017.
During its 7th annual edition to be held on the 14th of October 2017 at the Royal Regency Hall in London, Miss Ayan a British Somaliland will be among the 26 finalists showcasing not only their individual beauty, talent and creative but their country of origin Culture as well.
Selected after very competitive auditions the Finalists are from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, DR of Congo, Somaliland, Cameroon, Eritrea, Somalia, Togo, Guinea, Senegal, and Lesotho.
The Miss Africa GB pageant (Formerly Black Africa UK pageant) was founded in 2011. The pageant was formed with the sole purpose of giving young African girls born or living in the United Kingdom a platform to showcase not only their beauty but most importantly their culture, talent and creativity. The pageant is highly competitive and seeks to bring out those leadership qualities in women. The winner becomes a goodwill ambassador for Miss Africa GB, charged with designing and implementing a charity program based on her Pageant Platform.

Though competing against contestants from other African countries with a long history of beauty contests, Somaliland’s Ayan shall be flanked by fellow Somali speaker Naimo representing Somalia.
