• The AU Commission signs Education Sponsorship with Hult International Business School

ADDIS ABABA (Somalilandsun) – The Commissioner for Peace and Security of the African Union (AU), Ambassador Ramtane Lamamra, received, today, the UK delegation headed by the Minister for Africa, Mr. Mark Simmonds.

The Commissioner and the Minister discussed the situation in Mali and the importance of limiting civilian casualties, expediting the deployment of regional forces, and the importance of coordinating international efforts effectively for lasting peace in Mali in support of the Malian efforts.

Ambassador Lamamra stressed the need for an inclusive political settlement that would bring on board all the Malian stakeholders. “It should be the Malians who should own the peace process. By including the civil society, who can play a critical role in mediation and conflict resolution, thorough negotiation within the Malians would be ensured”, he said.

The two sides further discussed the importance of training the Malian troops on human rights issues.

The AU Commission signs Education Sponsorship with Hult International Business School

The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mr. Erastus Mwencha, signed with Hult International Business School, a Corporate Education Sponsorship of 20% on each 2013 program fee to all interested AU Commission employees, their family members and all African citizens, for:

– 2-year Part-time Executive MBA

– 1-year Full-time MBA

– 1-year Full-time Master Programs

– Bachelor of Fozia at a Somali Core meetin in the sidelines of AUInternational Business Administration.

The offer, which is subject to admissions criteria and seat availability, is valid for new applications for the September 2013 intake and can be extended for the following years. However the percentage of the sponsorship will be subject to availability and will be confirmed accordingly.
