Who is Likely to Replace Desalegn as Prime Minister of Ethiopia

Somalilandsun- The unprecedented resignation of hailemariam Desalegn as Prime Minister has thrown Ethiopia into a political quagmire.
The resignation not only from the PM docket but as chairman of ruling EPRDF as well has exacerbated matters further which has ensued with a state of emergency that essential puts the armed forces in Control.
Though he did not give detailed information that necessitated his decision the outgoing PM who stays in office until a replacement is announced has been under much pressure from ethnic Oromos and Amharas through continued anti-government demonstrations.
Whatever the reasons might be the big question now is who shall replace Desalegn
According to pundits the ideal future candidate for PM should be one who can placate Oromo and Amhara tribes thence technically from either.
While no one individual is reported to be a front runner names being touted included
1. Mr Mekele Mekonnen and ethnic Amhara and current deputy PM and deputy chair of the EPRDF
2. Dr Abiy Ahmet an ethnic Oromo and member of the federal Parliament
3. Lemme Megersa an ethnic Oromo and leader of the OPDO party and
4. Dr Workneh Gebeyehu of Oromia Ethnicity and currently the Ethiopia minister of foreign affairs.
While the above are currently those in the limelight the final decision rests with the EPRDF dominated federal parliament in Addis Ababa.
Worthy to mention is that for the Oromos who have been left out of for much thence subsequent protest demonstrations having one of their own as Prime Minister looks very possible this time round.
