Somalilandsun:The Head of State met with the Director Generals of all ministries in an effort to revitalize and mobilize better public services in the first day of a two day workshop intended to pep up administrative and technical governance procedures.
The meeting is expected to see to it that present policies, formulation of new ones, their implementation, collective and comprehensive pros and cons are discussed.
While the President reiterated the importance of observing time factor, he reminded the participants what government administrative structures entails, especially that of the executive and highlighted the importance and the eminence of the offices entrusted upon them.
“The three arms of the government consists of those who judge (judiciary), those who formulate regulative guidance (legislature) and there who implement (executive)”, said the President while re-educating his officers.
He continued, “With the executive there is the presidency, the ministers and the director generals and the service commanders”.
The President noted that while the presidency and the ministers are charged with decisions of policy-making (as think tanks), the DGs are there to implement.
He thus reminded them to focus on expediting good services hence see to it that it reaches the members of the public, and by thus, through the adherence and observance of time.
He underscored the fact that the constitution bars them to indulge in politics hence pointed out that the wisdom behind it underpins how better services can be thence implemented.
The President directed the DGs to readily help in the implementation of the National Services Program which is due to kick-off soon.
Those who spoke at the occasion held at the Royal Hotel included the Director General of the Presidency Mr. Mohammed Ali Bile and the chairman of the Civil Service Commission Mr. Sharmarke Ahmed Muhummed. They both underscored the importance of thee duties and trust the officials held for the public institutions.
