President Silanyo welcomes Amb Neil Wigan to to the Somaliland Presidency for Bilateral Talks on 6th Oct

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The Governments of the United Kingdom and Somaliland are set for bilateral discussions aboard a UK Naval Ship off the Coast of Berbera.
This development follows a meeting Hargeisa t the presidency in Between the Somaliland president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo and the visiting British envoy to Somalia/ Somaliland Ambassador Neil Wigan who will re-familiarize during the aboard ship parley on the 7th Oct 2015.
At a post meeting joint press conference conducted by Amb Wigan and Somaliland foreign minister Mohamed Behi Younis the two governments’s acknowledged the successful and historic partnership that exists between Britain and its former protectorate of British Somaliland.

Other notable points of discussion related to enhanced security cooperation between London and Hargeisa as well as the forthcoming Somaliland presidential and parliamentary elections slated for mid 2015
