President Silanyo receives Swedish Foreign Minister Yves Rossier at his offices in Hargeisa for discussions on Bi-lateral Relations

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The governments of Sweden and Somaliland have concurred on the enhancement development and political partnership existing between the two countries.
This consensus was reached during a meeting held at the Somaliland presidency in Hargeisa between a visiting Swedish Delegation led by Foreign Minister Mr. Yves Rossier and host government representatives chaired by President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo.

During the hour long meeting the Somaliland government briefed the visitors on prevalent status as pertains to diverse sectors mainly soci-economic advancements, mid 2015 slated elections, security and the issue of international recognition as a sovereign country.
The Swedish Foreign minister who said that fair and transparent elections shall enhance the status of Somaliland within international circles also revealed that the annual Humanitarian and development kitty availed by the Stockholm government.

The Swedish team led by Foreign minister Yves Rossier and includes that country’s Ambassador to Kenya with the Somaliland/Somalia portfolio Mr. Dominik Langenbacher shall during its couple of days stay visit several parts of the country beginning with Berbera and Sheikh in the East.
