Somaliland: State Facilitates Major Water Supply Expansion for Tog-wajale

Somalilandsun – Stone-laying foundations of a water bore-hole have been significantly placed at Botor in Gebiley region to serve Tog-wajaale town.

In a ceremonial function graced by the Water Resources Minister Hon.Bashe Ali Jama, the Finance Minister Hon. Zamzam Abdi Aden and their Commerce counterpart Hon. Musa Kasim, the trio laid the foundation stone, lauding its inauguration.

The project which is funded by the Darul Bira Foundation is being implemented by the Ahlu-Sunne al Khayriya Trust.

Hon. Zamzam thanked the implementers and hailed their many services to the public.

She said that their benevolence has translated into numerous projects seen. She also praised the SL ambassador to the UAE Bashe Awil.

“He has astoundedly done much for SL in the very short period he has been in office”, she said.

The Head of the Ahlu Sunna Al Khayria Sh. Hassan Osman announced that his trust has made and/or implemented hundreds of projects in the country, namely 120 water wells/ bore-holes, 40 madarasa (schools), 2 MCHs and that they disburse school fees bursary to pupils and students in several institutions.

Also present were the Gebiley deputy regional governor Ali Abdillahi, Gebiley, Mayor Cllr. Mohammed Amin, Wajaale Mayor Cllr Ibrahim Haibe and several other dignitaries.
