HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The Finance Minister Hon. Abdiaziz Mohammed Samaale has hailed KULMIYE Chairman Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi for the bold step he has taken to withdraw his candidature of the presidency within the party.
Hon. Samaale noted that the political differences that had hitherto afflicted the ruling party have now been brought conclusively to order and under control.
He said, “The political difference between the party’s topmost heads has now been fully addressed hence the positive step taken is worth thanking the Lord for”. He added that the bold action by the chairman is a reflection of Somaliland’s trademark reconciliatory culture that defuses tensions through conciliatory efforts.
“I profoundly thank the chairman Muse Bihi for heeding to the calls from all echelons of Somalilanders”, he said, and added, “Hence as such the President now becomes the sole candidate for the party in the next 5 years”.
The minister also thanked the people who played mediatory roles in the wrangles.
He hoped that the President will be the flag bearer of the national endeavours in achieving fledgling developments and faster recognition by the international community.
Hon. Samaale happens to be amongst the frontrunner of eminent personalities who were adamant that immediate solutions were found through reconciliatory overtures to bring the issue to full understanding.
