Somaliland: Nation mourns the demise of Brigadier General Dan’ade

The Army Mourns departed commanderPresident Silanyo terms the departed Soldier as a commander who stood steadfast in defence of the Country’s Sovereignty and Boundaries.

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The Commander of the Eastern front Army Units Brigadier General Mohamed Abdi Aden ‘Dan’ade has passed away.

The president H.E. Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo has extended condolences to the national army on the demise of the late Gen Dan’ade who passed away and buried in Hargeisa on the 2nd March 2013.

The head of state who also condole the family, Relatives and friends of the late army commander as well citizens, said the mourning period should be utilized in reflecting the virtues of the late Gen Dan’ade.

Terming the late General as a dedicated army officer who stood steadfast in defence of the country’s sovereignty and boundaries president Silanyo said that the deceased virtues need emulation by all.

“I pray to Allah to succour the soul of the late General Mohamed Abdi Aden” prayed President Silanyo

The late Brigadier Gen Dan’ade who commanded the army brigade based in border with Somalia succumbed to health problems that saw him died at a city hospital and subsequent burial with military honours at the state cemetery in Hargeisa
