Somaliland: Health workers Assess HIV/Aids Impact

HARGEISA: (Somalilandsun):- A course on the diagnosing and testing of HIV/AIDS and assessment of the degree and effect of the malaise in the country has been commenced for health works in the city.

While opening the course which would be conducted in a firm of a seminar, the national Commission for the Prevention of HIV/AID’s executive director Mr. Abdi Ali Jama pointed that emphasis should be put on tangible ways and means of preventing the contraction of the diseases.

He said that evaluations should also be made as assessments as to the effect it has had its impact in the country and the extent of affliction; thus most vulnerable areas and susceptibilities etc.

The director urged the health workers participating in the seminar who have been drawn from various institutions to ponder on the best mode to be used in the context of SL to excellently control the pandemic.

He lastly advised them to put in to use the techniques they would have learnt by the close of the seminar.
