The public vs. Hatuuf newspapers case originates from a number of items published pertaining to high level and unchecked corruption within high echelons of the government and more specifically as per oil deals undertaken by the Minister of Energy and minerals.

mid last month the government proscribed the Hatuuf media group of newspapers and thence submitted case against its two chief officials for publishing numerous false and malicious items in its publications alleging corruption by state officials who deny them thus want Gabobe and Egge to produce relevant evidence in a court of law.
