On the issue of the two traditional leaders Sultan Mawlid Sabayste and King Rabbi, the deputy minister said that they shall be arraigned in court on charges related to public incitement that emanate from their vehement opposition to the privatization of the Berbera fuel depot by the government.

The two tribal leaders have been in custody for some time undergoing police investigation that seem to have concluded thence the state plans to prosecute them for their alleged offences despite the never ending condemnations of their arrest by other traditional leaders from all over the country.

“The deputy PIO is custody for disciplinary action” said deputy minister Adaare adding that the confinement of major Sablaale is related to his refusal to perform as ordered by the interior minister Waran”ade.

In elaboration and without giving specifics of the orders refused by the immigration officer, Mr Adaare said that the Major Sablaale confinement is one based service regulations as pertains to insubordination thus will conclude as per the internal interior ministry procedures.

Though the deputy interior minister refused to divulge the events leading to orders refusal and subsequent confinement, Somalilandsun sources indicate that the disputer is in relation to the issuance of Somaliland passports to foreigners.

This anomaly came to light after detection by Ethiopian immigration authorities who are said to have not only complained about this irregularity but deported the culprits back to Somaliland thence the ensuing clash at the ministry of interior in whose docket the immigration department falls.

While a few quarters have been had castigating the government over this arrest of a senior public servant, worthy to mention is that the issuance of Somaliland passports is a national catastrophe that requires urgent and apt action not only to deter but rectify as well.

traditional leaders Sultan Mawlid Sabayste and King Rabbi gto face incitement chargesThat said the government should then not be cowed by the murmurings and succumb to pressure thence act as is POLITICALLY RIGHT TO DO RATHER THAN IS LEGALLY CORRECT as pertains to national interests, unless the action against Major Sablaale is nothing but a smokescreen to real facts behind the mighty scenes at the colossally mandated interior ministry .
