HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – A record 125m dollar budget for the year 2013 has been endorsed by the cabinet hence is on its way to the national assembly. It is ear-marked to cater for the ranks of servicemen.

In a cabinet meeting chaired by the Head of States H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud Silanyo, the ministers voted unanimously to endorse the annual budget.

According to Presidential spokesman Mr. Ahmed Suleiman Duhul, the new budget next year is 17% more than the previous one which stood at 106 m USD.

“This translates to mean a huge 140% more than the 2010 budget during Rayale’s period,” emphasized Mr. Suleiman.

It is expected that the Finance Minister Hon Abdi Aziz Samale will table his budget in the Lower House of Representatives hence defend it as per constitution.

Most important and significant in this year’s budget will include the cost of security services ranks, health sector, roads and pepping up of the foreign policy.
