President Obama the victor and Mitt Romney the Miserable loserBy Punditty

Washington : DC : USA -Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th president of the United States, won re-election after a long, hard-fought battle against Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Multiple networks declared Obama the winner around 11:11 p.m. EST, when the state of Ohio and its 18 electoral votes put the incumbent over the top.

With 487 of 538 electoral votes allocated, Obama led Romney 284 to 203 in that all-important category.

In the Real Clear Politics ongoing tally of the popular vote, Obama led Romney 49.3 percent to 49.2 percent, with Libertarian Gary Johnson just under 1 percent.

Although key battleground states like Florida, Virginia are still undecided, the president nonetheless managed to eclipse the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

Romney phoned the president to concede shortly before 1 a.m. EST and then addressed supporters in Boston. He graciously congratulated President Obama on his re-election, then went on to say that other than his wife Ann, vice presidential pick Paul Ryan was the best choice he ever made.

Romney called for an end to partisan bickering and said that the times called for reaching across the aisle.

“I believe in America, I believe in the people of America,” Romney said to great applause.

Romney was then joined on stage by his wife Ann and the Ryan family.

Romney appeared very relaxed and gracious as he spoke, and he exited a stage with a smile on his face.
