| Somaliland President congratulates Citizens on 52nd Independence day |

The president of the Republic of Somaliland , Mr. A.M . Silanyo is hereby congratulating the people of Somaliland where ever they are on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Independence of The republic of Somaliland from Great Britain on June 26, 1960. " This is a great day for Somaliland people to remember and I pray to God that the day returns on countless occasions to the people of Somaliland with prosperity and success and as a recognised country among the nations of the world" the president said. The president stated in the press release that Somaliland republic has achieved success and progress through peaceful means and has fulfilled all the conditions that could merit its recognition by the international community . The president called on the international community to respect the history of the republic of Somaliland, the rights and the will of its people as well as the democracy and peace achieved through good governance .
