Gargaar NGO seeks a competent and dynamic professional Qualified for these positions Two Positions: Basic Education Teachers –Based at Burao JOB DESCRIPTION • The first obvious responsibility of a teacher–to teach the subjects at hand, concentrating on basic education • Planning and preparing courses and lessons • Teaching according to their educational needs , the students assigned to him/her , including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the student in school and elsewhere • Teachers also provide an alternate role model to a child's parents • For some students, a teacher may be the only or best mentor they have available. As such, teaching is not only the responsibility to teach; it is about being a teacher • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development progress and attainment of the students Other activities • Promoting the general progress and well being of individual students and any of any class or group of students assigned to him/her • Providing guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers including information about sources of more expert advice on specific questions, making relevant records and reports; • Communicating and consulting with the parents of students • Participating in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above. • Participating in meetings at the school which relate to the curriculum for the school or the administration or organization of the school.
