Discussing Pre and Post Colonial Somalia and Birth of the Republic with the Anglo Somali Society

Somalilandsun-The Anglo-Somali Society invites you to discussions a meeting to be held at the YMCA Indian student hostel, 41 Fitzroy Square, London W1T6AQ on Wednesday 22 February 2017
During the meeting participants shall have the opportunity to brainstorm the pre and post colonial era history and subsequent birth of the Somalia republic
5.30pm for 6pm at the YMCA Indian Student Hostel, 41 Fitzroy Square, London W1T 6AQ
The nearest underground stations are Great Portland Street, Warren Street, and Euston. The venue is the upstairs conference room. The halal supper costs £8, paid in advance. Tickets will be posted to you on receipt of the slip below. The additional charge of £2 will go towards the hire of the room.

Proposals for new council members, chairperson, and vice-chairperson (with their prior agreement) and names of volunteers should reach the Hon. Sec. Dr. Susan Sills by 8 Feb. 2016. The names of all the present Council Members and Officers can be found inside the back cover of the Autumn 2016 Journal.

The Birth and Early Days of the Somali Republic with Mohamed Ingiriis , a challenging political commentator and PhD student at the University of Oxford. His 382-page book ‘The Suicidal State in Somalia’ was published in 2016. [See Journal I60 p66 and I58 p10].
