America Stuck on Stupid

A man goes to the doctor complaining of stomach pain. The doctor runs test after test on the guy, but comes up empty. Diagnosis? Psychosomatic. So what else can the doctor do but treat the man’s symptoms with placebo or anti-anxiety drugs? Notice the affliction isn’t cured. It’s managed.

How do you cure something caused by an imaginary disease? You can’t.

The American Taliban a.k.a. , the Tea Party and all with their mindset, suffer from the same affliction. They’re infected with an imaginary disease, or a fictional Barack Obama, one they’ve created. It’s much like a phantom pain.

It aches something fierce, yet it doesn’t exist. The angry, ungodly, Jesus-hating, devil-worshipping, Kenyan, secret Muslim who wants to enslave whites, take away our Constitutional rights to our guns, piss on the constitution create a socialistic society … etc … has never existed. This is why their imaginary illness can never be cured, because they can’t see or hear the real Barack Obama. They have blocked out any chance for dialogue with lies, innuendos and plain nonsense.

Why is that important? Because Barack Hussein Obama is the cure.

Now we’ve got a super rich guy, admiring himself in his in greed, which by Christian standards is a deadly sin, running for the highest office in the land, a man who couldn’t care less about abortion, our elderly, our sick, our poor and our minorities. He only cares about ambition and making a profit mostly for himself. Like a good car salesman he is willing to say or do just about anything to get that job, even if it’s a lie. A good example is healthcare. Obamacare is based on a healthcare model created by Mitt Romney when he was governor in Massachusetts. Yet now he says that plan was not his doing.

Yeah right. Who signed it into law in Massachusetts? I’ll give you a hint. His initials are M..R.

Anyone who can’t see this is willfully blind. He also is not a Christian, but it seems nobody but Bill Maher wants to talk about that issue. Calling Mitt Romney a Christian would be the same as trying to call Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam a Muslim. Neither is. The general ignorance of the American public about what Mormons are. If they really embrace the official positions of their religious group, they are not Christians, though they often present themselves as such, for example, calling their meeting places churches sometimes (but notice– no crosses to be found on top, or worn either).

Mormons deny the sufficiency of Christ’s death for salvation. They suggest, as the linked article says, that each of us must do all we can and then trust in the mercy of God. In other words, the de facto position is that Mormonism is to a significant degree a works cult even when it comes to salvation. Bring on another emerging fanatical cult, the Tea party.

Again HBO’s series the Newsroom said it best about the Tea Party ; “Ideological purity, compromise as weakness, a fundamentalist belief in scriptural literalism, denying science, unmoved by facts, undeterred by new information, a hostile fear of progress they can call themselves the Tea Party. They can call themselves conservatives and they can even call themselves Republicans, though Republicans certainly shouldn’t. But we should call them what they are. The American Taliban.”

And like that Taliban anyone that opposes them are the enemy. Anyone that speaks out against them should be destroyed in public. Even if what’s said about them is a lie. A good example are the recent comments about Muslims by Michelle Bachmann and Rep. Joe Walsh. The Tea Party is all about being stuck on Stupid and getting the electorate to be the same.

To control a person’s mind these things must happen;

1. People are put in physically or emotionally distressing situations;

2. Their problems are reduced to one simple explanation, which is repeatedly emphasized;

3. They receive unconditional love, acceptance, and attention from a charismatic leader like Mitt Romney or Michelle Bachmann.

4. They get a new identity based on the group;

5. They are subject to entrapment (isolation from friends, relatives, and the mainstream culture) and their access to information is severely controlled.

For example:

1) The leaders of the Tea Party have used rallies, forums, and the media to create a hypersensitivity to Obama’s election and has blamed everything bad that has happened and will happen on him and the Democrats to create fear and distress.

2) The Tea Party has one explanation for all the worlds problems- remove Obama and the Democrats

3) Tea Party members are shown love, receive applause, and get recognition the more radical their views.

4) They are no longer misfits out of touch with society and now they are Tea Party activists complete with a uniform and signs to hold up at rallies.

The Tea Party owns many websites and forums for these people to interact and anyone that attempts to post opposing opinions or even question the Tea Party leaders is quickly banished so members cannot be influenced by outside source. They also have entire news organizations like FOX is biased towards their views and pundits like Beck to keep them angry without any factual basis. The Tea Party is a cult and like many cults the true believer radicals will do anything to protect the cult and anything the leaders ask of them or they are incited to do including violence, threats, and other illegal activities! The Republican National Convention Tampa was one of the worst in recent memory.

The convention was a total celebration of the conservative base, such as the GOP cave-dweller platform, calling for everything absurd — from a return to the gold standard to a total ban on abortion but with no money for family planning. The convention blamed President Barack Obama and government for every known evil. People know government is necessary. Their fathers and grandfathers couldn’t have been successful without such programs as the GI Bill. Social Security and Medicare have kept millions of seniors out of poverty. Without regulation, fewer products and foods would be safe. The convention was packed with lies. The theme song at the RNC should have been Liar, Liar, pants on Fire!

Speaker after speaker repeated misinformation proven to be untrue by a variety of independent sources. Despite Republican claims, Obama has not revoked the work requirement for welfare.

Obama is not killing Medicare. He wants $716 billion cut from Medicare by reducing payments to hospitals and private health insurers, while Mitt Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan, wants to take that same amount and use it to offset more tax cuts for the wealthy. The Wisconsin auto-plant closure that Ryan blamed on Obama occurred when George W.Bush was president. If there were a simple solution to reinvigorating the economy, Obama would have implemented it.

Romney says only that he would cut taxes, cut spending and cut regulations. But for eight years, President George W. Bush cut taxes and regulations and the deficit ballooned. Romney opposed Obama’s efforts to prevent total economic collapse and save the auto industry. Romney’s plan to cut spending without raising taxes on the wealthy would hurt the poor without balancing the budget. Romney’s plan to eliminate many unspecified regulations would not level the playing field; just the opposite. Big companies would get bigger, squashing little companies. The paltry regulations meant to rein in Wall Street would be overturned.

Greed and no regulations would again flow freely. What happened four years ago could happen again. But Romney and the richest 1% will be happy.

The rest of America will be left “Stuck on Stupid” .
