Somaliland opposition Wadani Party leaders Pursue German Trade Investment and Educational Cooperation at meeting in Berlin

BERLIN (Somalilandsun) – Somaliland is abound with yet untapped trade opportunities for foreign investors

This was informed the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag, DIHK) by the Wadani party during a meeting with senior officials in Berlin.
The Opposition Wadani party team that is visiting various European cities and currently in German’s Berlin is led by its presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro includes senior party official Hirsi Haji Ali, party’s presidential advisor of foreign affairs cum Officer in charge of the party’s European desk.
During the Berlin meeting in which the SHR University chancellor was also present discussions dwelt on the imperatives of establishing linkage between Somaliland and German business concerns.
Apart from the business whose ultimate objective is creating links between the two countries commercial concerns and open avenues for German investments in Somaliland, higher education support was also on the menu.
Following a brief on status of education in Somaliland, the was committal in intent to partner local institutions of higher learning for purposes of exchanging knowledge and skills as well as other relevant support required.
The Irro led team of Wadani party officials has so far visited several European cities where similar functions were undertaken in addition to amplifying the devastating drought prevailing in Somaliland
