As the counselor in charge of political affairs in Hargeisa hands-over a drought relief donation from Ethiopia

Somalilandsun – A drought relief contribution from the government and People of Ethiopia has been handed to Somaliland.
The handover at the two countries main border town of Wajale saw 72 tones of asorted drought relief items handed over to Somaliland government officials by an Ethiopian team led by Ato Ageze Amelo , the political and economic affairs consular at the Ethiopian Embassy in Hargeisa
“The aid relief consisting of 72 thousand tonnes of assorted food stuff namely 3000 tonnes of wheat and flour, 2000 tonnes of rice 100 tonnes of high nutrition biscuit, milk and other assorted food” said Ageze
Revisiting the friendship existing between the people of the two countries the Hargeisa based Ethiopian diplomat said
“The Federal government of Ethiopia stand shoulder in shoulder with our Somaliland brothers during this difficult times, this is not the first time we have delivered such aid nor shall it be the last, we shall continue to do our utmost to deliver life-saving assistance, to the extent possible,”
Thanking the government and People of Ethiopia for their respond during time of need was the Somaliland state minister for foreign affairs Muhumed Mahile Bogore who said On behalf of the government and people of Somaliland, I would like to express my gratitude to the federal government of Ethiopia for the relief food aid.
The handover function was witnessed by senior officials from The Ethiopian federal government and Somaliland as well representatives of Ethiopias Zone five Somalia administrative region
This is the second drought donation from Ethiopia with the first one having been delivered by Brig Gen Mr. Berhe Tesfay , head of Ethiopian Mission in Somaliland in December 2013 in support of cyclone hit citizens
