The gratitude’s were extended by the Somaliland Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation during a meeting with the visiting German envoy to Somalia/Somaliland Ambassador Christian Resch in Hargeisa.

According to a ministry of foreign affairs press statement Amb Resch has during his couple of days visit inspected various development projects funded by his government in Somaliland.

Deputy Minister of Somaliland Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation met in cordial reception with Germany Ambassador to Somalia/Somaliland.

The Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmed Aden Ismail (Ahmed-kaise) received the German Deputy Ambassador to Somalia/Somaliland, Amb. Christian Resch at Ambassador Hotel in Hargeisa on Wednesday Night 12th August, 2015.

Ambassador Resch spent a number of days in Somaliland and visited development assistance projects that Germany supports Somaliland.

At a cordial reception, the Deputy Minister together departmental directors, diplomats and other key officials of MFAIC discussed with the Ambassador a number of political and development matters and particularly emphasized how to strengthen the cooperation between Somaliland and Germany on priority sectors.

The Minister thanked the Ambassador and his country for the vital development projects Germany is supporting Somaliland on a variety of sectors including water, food, health programs, and hoped that in the future Germany’s assistance to Somaliland and the cooperation will extend to other areas including economic development and investment.

In similar way, Ambassador Resch thanked the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation and Somaliland government for the hospitality provided to him and looked forward returning to Somaliland in the future.-Unquote
