HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) Representatives from 40 foreign companies are in Hargeisa to compete for the tender project of expanding the quantity of water supply in Hargeisa from a grant given by the European Union. A meeting held for the representatives and Hargeisa Water Agency-HWA and the Ministry of water officials was held at the Agency’s conference hall.
UN-Habitat who are implementing the project partnering with HWA to extend water pipes and a new HWA building construction to serve as the headquarters.
The meeting was also to shortlist the companies from Europe, Asia, S. America with branches in most part the world.
The Director of HWA Mr. Ibrahim Siyad Yonis said he had invited the companies to Hargeisa to conduct survey as a addition to their quest.” this is the first phase and after the companies leave they will hand in their quotations” said the Director.
