HELSINKI (Somalilandsun) – Diaspora Landers in Finland were briefed on prevalent status of their motherland by the visiting minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction-MRR&R Dr Suleiman Isse Hagaltosie.
The briefing in Helsinki occurred during a luncheon the Finnish –Somalilanders hosted for the government delegation which has been conducting official business in the country and led minister of the MRR&R Dr Suleiman Isse Hagaltosie.
Upon thanking his fellow countrymen and sisters for the warm welcome to their adopted country The youthful minister who said that the homeland is current enjoy peaceful co-existence among its community also divulged that public services are being availed citizens in all corners of the nation.
“The administration of president Silanyo has made it possible for public services to be availed all citizens as a result of having managed to reconcile a number of formerly dissenting communities by peaceful pursuasions” said Dr Hagaltosie
He also informed of his various official engagements in the country with various government and international organizations representatives that concluded with success.
Speaking on behalf of the hosts the chairperson of the Somaliland community in Finland Mr Hasan Ali Sadahle said that having Minister Hagaltosie in their adopted country has been a refreshing experience especially as pertains to the first-hand information about prevailing situation in Somaliland.
According to Finland based freelance journalist Mohamed Hassan Matan Other speakers echoed similar sentiments among them the Finland branch leaders of the Somaliland national political parties of UCID, Wadani and Kulmiye.
The meeting was also briefed on the minister’s activities during his official visit to Finland by the former head of the Somaliland Diaspora Mr Suleiman Mohamed Farah who also acted as the Hagaltosie delegation’s protocol officer in the country.
Among the meetings of import held in Helsinki was the one between the Somaliland minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Dr Suleiman Isse Hagaltosie and the Interior minister of Finland Mrs Päivi Räsänen at her offices in Helsinki where the two countries agreed to enhance cooperation at all levels. http://somalilandsun.com/index.php/politics/government/2719
Among other Dr Hagaltosie engagement was Participation in a workshop organized by the International Office of Migration-IOM attended by Senior Finnish Security officers as well as the Norwegian and Finnish heads of IOM.
